The Art of the Steal tells the great whodunit story of the art world. In the 1920s, American Dr. Albert Barnes assembled a staggering collection of works by Renoir, Cezanne, Matisse, Picasso and others. On his death in 1951, the collection was left to Lincoln University, the USA's first black university. But a scheme to remove the works to another premises in Philadelphia took root. This film recounts twists and double-crosses and exposes the intriguing world of art as commerce.
